Shanghai is it´s own in a way, a place on earth that is difficult to describe for people who haven´t been here. A friend of mine once said: “Shanghai is just an other planet.” and I agree with him! This time it´s just a familiar planet where the road names makes sense and the subway system is understandable. It´s great to be back! So many good memories from the last time I was here, actually that was when this blog got started… I arrived yesterday morning at 6 o´clock and the day went by with getting all the practical stuff stuff sorted… When I returned to the apartment were I´m staying I started to take of the white shirt I was wearing for the travel. Then I looked at it and smiled! You know you are back in Shanghai when the sleeves of your white shirt is black in the end of day! You know you are back in Shanghai when there is a man in each end of the pedestrian cross reminding you rathe the light is green or red…. You know you are back in Shanghai when it´s possible to smoke cigarettes in the Taxi… You know you are in Shanghai when crossing the road is a gamble with life and death! You know you are back in Shanghai when you get disappointed about your apartment is on the 6th floor when it could have been 36…
I am back in Shanghai and I´m slowly starting to realizing it!
I like this photo be course it gives the impression of the crazy highway system that goes straight through Shanghai city. This photo is in the very center and we are not even on ground level taking this photo…! You gotta love it!
