look up into the stars and the future

Look up – Challenge of week 5 in the 365 project

In the end of last week, I gave myself the challenge to shoot photos within a theme. I named the week, Look up. It has been interesting to have a frame to work from. Challenging too. And for future experiments, I will remember to keep the theme open, so it´s possible to interpretive it creatively. Just like “Loop up”. Here are the different shots I picked for the week.   day 30 – Text from Flickr; This week I will […]

fire in front of a tent, found while on the mission to; Explore Copenhagen

Explore Copenhagen – The 365 project week 4

My overall conclusion from last week’s post “Swans in Copenhagen” was; too little exploration in the photos. I simply didn’t spend time “enough” to search and find my motives. So I decided that week should be different. That I should strive to find new motives and explore Copenhagen even more. It´s a tough task to keep being curious to known surroundings. And didn’t find it easy. With practice comes perfection I guess and I will aim to keep it up. […]

swans in copenhagen on the ice in a sunset

Swans in copenhagen – The 365 Project week 3

The picture of Swans in Copenhagen was definitely the best shot I got this week. I did capture a few different variations of the three swans just watching and chilling in the sunset. I also learned a lesson regarding my new camera and the ISO settings… I manage to push it to MAX when changing from single shot to Bracket Mode and back again. Meaning that the photo I got out had an iso of 12800.. damn! Be course the […]

The Smoke in the distance

The 365 project – one photo a day, week 1 and 2

This year I´m trying to follow through with the challenge of making “one photo every day”. I’ve tried it before and never been able to follow through the whole year. This year I’ve changed camera system and the Fuji X-T2 is just way more easy to carry around on an everyday basis. For the first two weeks of the year, I’ve been able to get these shots. I share them on Flickr every day, if you want the daily inspiration […]

What to see in Copenhagen? Kastellet the pentagram fortress

Kastellet is one of the most beautiful parts of Copenhagen. Kastellet is an old fortress from back in the days, when it was tough to conquer a hill surrounded by water – holding a canon on top…  It´s a very historical place in Copenhagen, and I can’t remember if I’ve been here before or not. I’m pretty sure I have, but it’s years back. This morning I arranged a photowalk at the location around Kastellet. Basically, I got a lot […]

Next Photo walk in Cph

The previous post about our ice cold photo walk in Copenhagen got a lot of attention afterwards. I did not know that so many people would like to join in. I promised everyone to give a warning in advance next time and my plan is to have the next walk on Sunday the 28th of Feb. So about a month from now. I haven’t planed a rout, yet. And I´m totally open for suggestions. Who ever wants to join can […]

Photowalk in Copenhagen 2016

The results from todays photowalk in Copenhagen, Christianshavn. Prior to this month Likemind meeting I posted a question in the Likemind Copenhagen Linkedin group, if anyone wanted to join for a walk around in the snow and practice some photography. I’ve previously met people at the Likemind meetings who enjoy photography and the active way of exploring the city. Luckily a few brave souls was ready to get on some warm close and take the walk. If your are curious […]

Going Through Photos On The Hard Drive

After I started using Lightroom to sort and edit my photos, I also started to rediscover some old work. Old work which never saw the light of day (on an online platform or print format). I came by this photo of center Copenhagen prior to the Metro construction which takes up most of this square (Kongens Nytorv) at the moment. It looks like the sky is on fire! Pretty dramatic in a way. And pretty metaphoric for the current political […]

Likemind Copenhagen

5 reasons to get up early and network.

The previous Likemind Copenhagen Network Event had more than 100 signups. The turn up was fantastic and that made me reflect on the journey I’ve been through to reach this point. The amount of different stories and people I have met by arranging this is countless. All this combined inspired me to list 5 good reasons for you to get up in the morning and say “Hello” to a stranger. I’ll get back to that. A very long time ago […]

Spring time in Copenhagen

We are getting closer for the spring in our lovely city. I got this on my way home from work the other day. Still playing around with the functionalities and possibilities with the Gopro Hero 4 cam. I think this one turned out pretty good. 🙂 trying it in 500 x 243 from flickr embed

Twitter Ambusanga

Happy birthday … on Twitter…Time to Party!

So… I soon approach my fourth year on Twitter… When realising that I had to sit down and rethink what I’ve been through on that journey. What a journey! I had to think about the many, many, many tweets I’ve read on a daily base and the nearly 5000 tweets I’ve written… most importante of all, my thoughts stops with the enormous amount of people I have gotten in contact with. I have met SOOOO many! Most of them IRL (in real life) which have been a […]

A new Dancing scene in Copenhagen, Dansekapellet

For some time ago a very interesting venue opened in Copenhagen. Dansekappelet. It’s basically an old crematorium which has been rebuild into a very interesting dance studio. You can check out more here at their website: www.dansekapellet.dk The surroundings are quite amazing and I can strongly encourage you to go and check it out if you have the chance. Just before christmas I went to see my girlfriend Lisbet Kokholm Nør do a performance which is a part of a […]

Why I love Crossfit = why I don’t blog …

I just realized that since I started at the Crossfit Copenhagen center “church of pain” i haven’t done any blogging. Besides microblogs such as twitter, instagram etc. I wonder if that refers to the video in the previous post: ”If you dont have time, stop watching TV.” The last 8/9 months I have allocated my time to training which means less time to online spare time activities. Such as blogging… Crossfit is for me an ideal training form. I love […]

Sarhat my favorite little kid from Copenhagen!!

Yesterday I wrote a very serious blog post about how horrible and awful I found Alex Ahrendtsen election video campaign. And that made me think of what I really do like instead. In order to stay within the frames: integration, open boarders and video… I started looking for a video I saw along time ago! I love this video with little Sarhat from Nørrebro Copenhagen dropping knowledge to a great little beat! It´s all in danish but the boy really do have some […]

Jonas Skafte running for balls

Running for Balls! – Tattoo for Balls!

A good friend of mine, Jonas Skafte, has recently created the concept “Running for Balls“. He is basically taking action on his own to collect funding for prostate cancer and testicular cancer. Jonas is preparing to run a marathon for the cause! You can support and donate money to his charity work from his webpage www.runningforballs.com. Not only is it possible to donate money for the run, Jonas donates his own shoulder to a tatoo chosen by you. He calls it “Tattoo for […]

Bikes in Copenhagen – and Abus marketing campaign

I have been without a bike for a very long time! – some people would say too long..! Now however i finally got my self together to invest in a bike. I found a pretty good one for a cheap price and then came the next question. Which lock should I get? probably the most important choice if you don´t want the bike stolen… And believe it or not but there is a lot of bikes being stolen in Copenhagen! […]

The blog only lives in my head!

For way too long this blog has only been living in my head! It has been trying to get out, but it got stopped by the heavy workload! Most of my blogging time, have been spent on voluntary work for Masanga Hospital and the Christmas Calender blog. See it at www.masangacreatinglife.wordpress.com. I made a new update every day during December with stories from the different volunteers at the Masanga Hospital. In order to get the many blogupdates down in written […]

Chinese man reading the news paper – me missing Cph!

I was sitting next to this old man when the rain pored over Shanghai. He was very focused on the newspaper and the cigarette and didn´t pay any attention to me taking the photo what so ever. The photo is edited as HDR photo as I am still practicing that (for me) new technique. Sitting here together with my girlfriend under the umbrella in the rain really made me miss Copenhagen! For so many years the goal has been to […]

Århus Botanisk have

Botanic Garden in Århus

The April snow in Copenhagen today, made me think of a photo I captured in the Botanic garden in Århus a bit more than one month back. It´s the time where the heat and the sun overrules the ice and the cold! Where the snow is melting and green grass is showing from underneath, proving life. The random snow falling from the sky today, took me right back in that setting. I captured this photo in Århus when I was […]

Copenhagen Frozen lakes

Winter in Copenhagen

The other day I took a walk in the cold but fresh winter weather in Copenhagen with my two friends Mark H. Beanland and Anders Graae. We were chilling around with the idea of finding a nice little place to eat. On our way we passed the frozen lakes… It was a pretty great feeling to walk on solid ice! this shows how much colder it is this year compared to last year. Around last year I made this blog […]

Neon Girls at Rust in Copenhagen

One of very good friends Anders Møller Toft, formed the band Neon Girls for a couple of months ago. They had the first couple of gigs before they had a name, and they have been having to create new sound tracks in order to fill out the time slot provided to them! They are productive and charming! I love the 90´ish touch of electro and pop. I went to check them out at Rust in Copenhagen and I was amazed! […]

against Lømmelpakken cop15 police arrest

When laws kills democracy – Copenhagen 2009

The Danish democracy agreed upon the new law called “Lømmelpakken” in order to prevent street riots during Cop15 in Copenhagen, and in order to address the ongoing “gang wars” in Copenhagen. Lømmelpakken makes it possible for the police to arrest people based on assumptions for what they might do later. As my good friend Mark Beanland writes on his blog: that is the society we see in the movie Minority Report directed by Steven Spielberg. I do understand that the […]

Cop15 Copenhagen = Demonstrations, frustrations and police forces

Cop15 is about to finish and I am very exited to see where it will end. In general i have been more focused on what have happened outside the Bella Center, than Inside. The social network Twitter has been a great help to keep track of the progress and the chaos… Just now when I am writing this, Tan Copsey from the Green Party in New Zealand tweets that Obama and Wen Jiaboa are making progress. You can follow Tan […]

Trash attack Copenhagen pink trash on ground cigerate

Trash Attack in Copenhagen just before the Cop15

A group of young environmental minded people in Copenhagen took action against dump of waste in the streets. By dressing up in pink suits and using pink dresses they ended a tree day long campaign. They carried out the message with pink light installations and pink colored trash at the event area, Christianshavns torv. I like the way of communicating a message through fun initiative and not by blaming. A bit like the mindset of the organization Viva La Renovation […]

An open head at Nørrebro

I haven´t been able to keep up with my own blog, since I have been working with my company Kadaver and the organization Masanga. There are many blog posts taking place in my head, and soon I will have them online too. An interesting one that I have thought about the last couple of days is the creation of the new Metro at Assistens kirkegården at Nørrebro´s runddel. There are a lot of citizens in Copenhagen who are extremely angry […]
